Tracks of War

Dispatches

Every update, newest first. The same notes the game shows in its What's New screen.

1.4.0-m17

10 OCT 2026 / 8 items
  • Day and night: every match now runs through a full day, with dawn, dusk, a moonlit night and shadows that move with the sun. You can turn it off in Options > Game > Day / night cycle.
  • Formations: a mixed group sent to one point lines up with tanks in front, infantry behind them and support units at the back, and marches together at the pace of its slowest unit.
  • Clearer team colours: a coloured apron around every player building, stronger colours on flags and signs, and a coloured disc under every land unit.
  • Terrain matters: roads, mud, snow, forest and bushes change how fast units move. Infantry in a forest or in bushes is harder to hit, and a little easier to hit on open ground. The selection panel shows the ground under the unit.
  • Rifles and machine guns can now miss, and experience counts: about 77% of shots hit with no star, up to 97% with three stars.
  • New Mineral Truck for all four nations, trained at the HQ. It carries four times a worker's load and is best on far mineral fields.
  • In matches the FPS counter now sits in a free top corner.
  • Left-handed layout: the Options tab rail moves to the right edge.

1.4.0-m16

10 OCT 2026 / 11 items
  • New currency: Ration Coupons. Every match pays coupons by result and length, with a bonus for the first win of the day and a daily limit.
  • Main menu: new MARKET and INVENTORY cards, plus DAILY MISSIONS and SEASON. The market opens soon; your inventory holds the four nation emblems. Pick your side on the PLAY screen.
  • Two new service record medals for daily missions: Daily Duty and Standing Orders. Profile cards in the room lobby now open the player's service record.
  • Room lobby: the owner can refresh the room code, and codes renew by themselves every 60 seconds. Tap the map picture to choose another map. Chat from a closed room no longer shows up in the next one.
  • Match history shows the match type (AI, Custom, Quick Match, Ranked, Online). Notifications can be deleted one by one with the trash icon.
  • Lighter snowfall that drifts with the camera when you pan. The fog of war is less dark again, and explored ground is a little lighter.
  • New FPS counter: a small tab in the menus and a compact chip at the bottom of the screen in matches.
  • New Tracks of War logo and app icon. The Options tab rail scrolls.
  • Online matches no longer end if the two phones get out of sync: the match pauses for a moment, both sides are re-synchronised and play continues by itself.
  • More test games for the Ranked map pool: Copper Valley, Ridge Run and Frost Line.
  • Smaller fixes and stability improvements.
