Day and night
Every match runs through a full day. Dawn, a high sun, dusk and a moonlit night follow each other, and shadows turn with the sun. After dark, buildings light their windows.
Prefer a fixed noon? Options > Game > Day / night cycle turns it off.

Formations
Select a mixed group and send it to one point. Tanks take the front, infantry falls in behind them and support units close the column.
The whole group marches at the pace of its slowest unit, so nobody arrives alone.

03
Terrain and cover
Roads are fast. Mud, snow, forest and bushes are slow. Infantry in a forest or in bushes is harder to hit, and a little easier to hit in the open.
The selection panel shows the ground under the unit, so you know before you move.

Experience
Rifles and machine guns can miss, and experience counts. With no star, about 77% of shots hit. With three stars, up to 97%.
Veterans are worth bringing home.
